Rusta was already hugely successful within discount retail. With a turnover of SEK 1,7 bn and a double-digit profit, who could ask for more? Well, the founding partners did, but they also realised they needed an outside-in perspective on the case. ForOne was asked to help figure out ways to make the concept scalable with a overall goal to reach SEK 4 bn within a couple of years.

Key to Rusta's extreme growth since then has been a simple, super-effective and scalable business and brand concept. This is basically what ForOne developed together with Rusta and we are so proud that the same concept is still in place today. Rusta is an unimaginable success case with a turnover now exceeding SEK 9 bn in 2023 and with sustained profitability during a largely organic expansion.

A new world order

We believe that the world needs less borders and we dream of a global society free from territorial, political and cultural egos. Therefore, For One has created a mind game and scenario explorations platform that we call Digizen®.

In essence, the idea is to offer a digital citizenship in the Digizen® Earth people nation to anyone who applies. A digital passport and identity in a digital nation that is fully owned and controlled by its citizens - and no one else. When that is in place and some Digizens are connected to each other, what can we do? This article is written at that exact moment in our thought process.

We know this may sound like a naïve idea, but really mind-boggling visions are what make us tick - so yeah, why not!? If there is even a slight opportunity to make the world a better place, let's see how far we can go. At For One, we nurture thoughts and give support to projects we love and that truly inspires us.

This is just an idea in the making. To make it real, we will need a lot of stuff, especially interesting people who can bring valueable experiences and skills to the project. For us it's a love project at this stage. We move slow, but once we meet the right people there is every intent to accelerate and go live with stuff as soon as humanly possible.

Dennis Lindgren - Master of apparel

In 2021, we wanted to create a completely new collection of staff wearables for Plantagen. Ambitions were beyond high. We aimed for clothes with great function and comfort, sustainable materials of the highest quality. Oh, and we wanted it to look good too. The goal was to make the Plantagen co-worker extremely proud of wearing the brand.

But who could design all this and how could we source production? We didn't have a clue, but then we found Dennis (on a football pitch actually), an expert apparel designer with years of experience in developing great collections for brands like GANT and Oscar Jacobson. This first project landed with great success and it marked the start of a wonderful relationship. Dennis is ever since an active member of For One and a great and generous friend. He's also the entrepreneur and founder of 2XDL Design Lab AB (www.2XDL.com) which offers customized apparel design including purchasing, sourcing and production of private labels and staff wearables.
